Official invitation refers to the invitation officially verified by the Alien Police Inspectorate (according to the place of permanent residency of the inviting person). It is not a private invitation in a form of a letter – see How to Invite a Foreigner.

Official invitation to visit the Czech Republic is a form verified by the Alien Police Inspectorate by which the inviting person/company accepts the obligation to fully or partially finance the stay of the foreigner. According to the extent of this obligation, the foreigner (invited person) submits no or partial supporting documents normally required to prove the purpose of journey, accommodation and financial means. The inviting person/company mails the original of the invitation form to the invited person  – he/she submits it along with the visa application.
