The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Manchester held an event in honour of Letters from England by Karel Čapek on Tuesday, 21.03. 2023, performed by Milan Jakobec, the occasional songwriter, writer, and former ambassador of the Czech Republic. Not only he demonstrated an exquisite presentation regarding Čapek’s travels around Britain, but he also introduced his new soon-to-be-published book “Bohemia and Albion.” Afterwards, the guests could indulge in the treasures of Czech cuisine, beer and Moravian wine accompanied by the sound of Milan Jakobec’s guitar.
