Minister Tomáš Petříček pledged the Czech humanitarian contributions to Yemen

During the High-Level Pledging Event for the Humanitarian Crisis in Yemen organised by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the Governments of Sweden and Switzerland on 26th February 2019 in Geneva, took the floor on behalf of the Czech Republic Mr. Tomáš Petříček, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

In his statement he confirmed longstanding humanitarian assistance of the Czech Republic to Yemen and announced a humanitarian contributions in the amount of 1,5 mil. USD for the years 2019-2020. This contribution should be mainly used to meet needs for health assistance, water and nutrition. At the same time he appealed to all parts to support the fragile peace process and create conditions for a safe and unhindered humanitarian access for all relevant humanitarian actors.
