The Minister´s program included a long row of official meetings, lecture at Josai University and opening of two investment seminars in Osaka and Tokyo. Memorandum of Understanding on collaboration in the field of atomic energy and Memorandum of Understanding on collaboration between Jetro and CzechInvest were signed by Minister Mládek during his meeting with the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, Mr. Yoichi Miyazawa.

Meetings were held between Minister Mládek and Japanese government representatives, as well as on the local level, when the Minister met the Governor of Osaka Mr. Ichiro Matsui and Mayor of Sakai Mr. Osami Takeyama. Minister Mládek visited companies which are among the Japanese companies investing in the Czech Republic. Among them were Toyota, Toshiba and Toray.
