Diplomas handed over to the winners of Lidice 2013

On 4 May 2014, at the cinema hall of the Sky plaza compound in which Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ulaanbaatar domiciled at, ceremony to handover honorable diploma to the winners of the Lidice 2013 – the 41st International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts, themed tradition and heritage of my country’s people, was took place.

Out of total 1404 children awarded in 2013, six children were from Mongolia. Despite of unexpected heavy spring blizzard in the city streets, these 6 children of three UB schools were present with their parents or teachers.    

During opening remarks, Ambassador Ivana Grollova recalled the history and significance of the art competition where she congratulated to awarded children and also thanked to their parents and teachers for their important support and assistances. Aside from diplomas, each child awarded with small souvenir gift, on behalf of Embassy.  

An addition to the reward, Czech film based on fairytale “Three Nuts for Cinderella” with Mongolian subtitle was screened as an extra gift, in order to enrich the event atmosphere. This film was brought in within scope of “Czech’s history on the film screen” small movie festival.

Once again viewers saw the differences in styles of the late Gothic - Renaissance and Baroque in Central Europe from costumes, architectural elements, Švihov and Moritzburg Castles of the movie.
