On April 25, 2019, the 14th International Children and Youth Theatres Festival was launched in Eskisehir. This year it is attended by representatives of 12 countries, including the Czech Republic, represented by Mr. Pavel Vangeli with his swinging and dancing marionettes. The opening of the festival was attended by the Mayor of Yilmaz Mr. Buyukersen and Ambassador Pavel Kafka, who subsequently co-presented a commemorative plaque to the Czech artist.

The festival, which started as a meeting organised by Children and Youth Theatres Unit in 2006, brings together every year examples of plays and performances of children and youth theatres. The event aims to “gather artists to share their work in order to provide children the sense of empathy, World’s peace and integration“. During the festival plays are performed and workshops and other activities are taking place. The festival continues until May 31, 2019.
