The newly appointed Czech Ambassador arrived in Baku on 17 June 2022, after his predecessor, H.E. Mr. Milan Ekert completed his 4 year long tenure. On 1 July, Ambassador Sedláček presented a copy of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Jeyhun Bayramov. The presentation of credentials to the President marked the official beginning of the new Ambassadorʼs tenure as the Czech Head of Mission in Azerbaijan. The official ceremony was followed by a discussion between the President and the Ambassador on the perspectives of bilateral cooperation, with a special focus on the field of energy.
