45 years of successful inter-university cooperation

With the participation of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Azerbaijan, Vítězslav Pivoňka and the Rector of the Baku State University, Abel Maharramov, on October 3, 2017 at the Baku State University was opened an exhibition of photographs presenting 45 years of successful cooperation between the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Charles University and the Faculty of Biology of Baku State University.
 

The opening of the exhibition was attended by a group of biologists from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the UK, who are carrying out another stage of the scientific research in Azerbaijan. Within the exchange stays between two universities, more than 500 teachers and students have been participating in the research programs.

During the opening ceremony, the Dean of the Biological Faculty, Akif Guliyev, was awarded by the Ambassador Pivoňka for merit in the development of the cooperation between two faculties. Professor Guliyev stood at the beginning of this collaboration, and is still a leader in the field.
