Ambassador presented book on architect of Embassy building

On 13 November 2012, a book on prominent architect Cristofi Cerchez was launched by Ambassador Jiří Šitler, Romanian architecture specialists and the descendants of the artist.

The author of the book “Cristofi Cerchez, un vechiu architect din Bucureşti” is dr. Oana Marinache. The book was published by Editura ACS. The building No. 11 Ion Ghica Street, a present seat of the Embassy of the Czech Republic, was built by architect Cerchez in the years 1926-1927; one of the book´s chapters is dedicated to this building. Over 100 specialists and students attended the book launch.
