Statement of the MFA of the Czech Republic on the situation in Yemen

The Czech Republic is deeply concerned about the resumption of hostilities in Yemen after the expiration of the ceasefire on 17.5. 2015. All parties should renew their commitments to the truce which will enable to alleviate considerably the humanitarian situation in the country and will give a chance to a negotiated solution.
The Czech Republic reiterates its support to the political process as the only way to bring back stability. We continue to support efforts by the UN Special Envoy Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed for the resumption of the inclusive political dialogue among all Yemeni parties and call on all parties in the region to coordinate the delivery of their humanitarian aid with the UN bodies.
