Date: 24.04.2024 16:00 - 18:00 , Venue: Czernin Palace, Prague

A key partner, a strategic ally and a leading investor – that is what the Netherlands is for the Czechia. On Wednesday 24 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Hanke Bruins Slot, will visit Prague. She will hold talks with Minister Jan Lipavský at the Czernin Palace.

On the agenda will be the possibilities of further strengthening of relations between Czechia and the Netherlands, the current security situation and more effective coordination in the field of European policies. Relations between the two countries have been very intense in recent years. In the long-term, the Netherlands has been one of the most directly investing countries in Czechia. Thanks to the contract for the supply of natural gas from the Dutch LNG terminal in Eemshaven, Czechia has secured a long-term and stable supply that covers more than thirty percent of the annual consumption. Since the beginning of Russia's illegal aggression against Ukraine, both our countries have been among the leading supporters of the invaded country. Both Czechia and the Netherlands support an international order based on international law and the refusal to wage war of aggression.
