Czechs gathered 180 thousand Rs for charity

The Embassy of the Czech Republic to India participated at the International Charity Bazaar which was organised by the Delhi Commonwealth Women's Association (DCWA) at the Ashok Hotel New Delhi on December 13th, 2015.
Items for sale at the Czech stand so graciously prepared by the staff of the Embassy included a variety of typical Czech food specialties and branded glass jewellery. Proceeds from the sale in amount of 1.8 lakhs rupees were donated to Delhi Commonwealth Women Association (DCWA) in aid of DCWA Medical Centre Zamrudpur, Kailash Colony Extension, New Delhi and in aid of its other charities.
While wholeheartedly thanking to visitors from India and many other countries for the interest they had shown in his country, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic Milan Hovorka was grateful to compatriots of him for their generosity and goodness.
„Once again, the Czechs opened their hearts and stood ready to work hard with other members of international community to donate to charity drives. I am particularly grateful to them for their human approach. I am equally grateful to hundreds of visitors to our stand, in particular from India but many other countries as well, without whom we wouldn´t have been able to collect such a huge donation,“ said Ambassador Hovorka on this occasion.
