Three scholarships in total are offered for the next year and are designed for:

1. university students or

2. college students or

3. graduates or

4. Ph.D. candidates (exceptionally for academic staff members)

who wish to undertake study or research visit to one of the Czech public institutions of higher education.

 

The scholarship includes:

• up to 10 months of research/study stay at one of the Czech public institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic free of charge,

• 12,000 CZK (approx. 535 USD) per month for graduate students,

• 13,000 CZK (approx. 580 USD) per month for postgraduate students,

• accommodation at the student dormitory for discounted price,

• breakfast, lunch and dinner provided at the student dormitory for discounted price,

• no visa application fee

The scholarship doesn't include air ticket and medical insurance to the Czech Republic.

2. letter of invitation (recommendation or acceptance letter) from the respective Czech university/department - Applicants are advised to contact the preferred university to which they intend to apply for the MEYS scholarship.

4. list of publications (if published any)

5. detailed plan of study/research

6. two letters of recommendation from academic supervisors or employer

7. photocopy of diploma (if applicable) - Diploma/university degree must be verified by notary!

8. certified transcript(s) of records - Must be certified by the respective department/university of the applicant!

9. copy of passport

10. only fine arts and performing arts students/graduates: a sample of  artistic work (photographs, video/audio recording of a musical performance etc.)

Incomplete application dossiers and/or inadequately completed application forms will not be processed.

Applicants are required to point out to the prospective host universities that they intend to apply for the MEYS’ scholarship.
