Representatives of the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research and Czech universities took part in an international conference and exhibition in Perth, Western Australia

The international conference and exhibition APAIE took place from March 4 – 8, 2024 in Perth, Western Australia, focusing on expanding international collaborations with universities in the Asia Pacific region. It is the third largest event of its kind in the world, at which Czech universities are frequently represented.
This year, representatives of the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research (DZS) and 10 Czech universities attended the event: Charles University, Masaryk University, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Institute of Technology and Business in České Budějovice, Technical University of Liberec, Anglo-American University, Brno University of Technology, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Mendel University in Brno and VSB - Technical University of Ostrava.
Zuzana Slováková, Consul-General of the Czech Republic in Sydney, and Jitka Smith, Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Perth, also participated in the opening of the Czech stall at the conference. Conference attendees showed great interest in the Czech stall. Making study in the Czech Republic more appealing to foreign students is a long-term goal which the Czech Republic is working towards, among other ways through the program “Study in Czechia”, which was promoted at the APAIE conference and exhibition.

The Czech National Agency for International Education and Research, together with Forrest Research Foundation, prepared an additional seminar for the universities that were present and their partners, as a side event to APAIE.
