The Special Commissioner for Czechs Living Abroad Office collaborates with a number of actors.

The Special Commissioner for Czechs Living Abroad Office works closely with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and with the Standing Senate Commission on Compatriots Living Abroad. The Standing Senate Commission on Compatriots Living Abroad is headed by Tomáš Grulich; the Commission Secretary is Marie Šrámková (sramkovam@senat.cz, +420 257 072 233). The Compatriots Living Abroad Consultative Board, managed by Martin Jan Stránský (pospisilova@mjs.narodni.cz), is an advisory body to the Commission. The Subcommittee on Relations with Compatriots Abroad, Promotion of the Czech Republic Abroad and External Economic Relations, attached to the Foreign Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, is headed by Jaroslav Foldyna.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic finances the international broadcasting service in Czech, Radio Prague (http://www.radio.cz/en) as part of its state promotion and information activities. This broadcasting service, now operated by the Czech Radio (Český rozhlas 7), has a long-lasting tradition – it started in 1936. Czech compatriot communities abroad form the majority of Radio Prague’s listeners, being able to listen to Czech language news in both close and remote areas of the world via the satellite, shortwave broadcasting or online. A number of radio stations abroad rebroadcast Radio Prague’s programmes. Radio Prague’s editorial board cooperates also with other bodies which focus on the promotion of the Czech Republic abroad, such as the Czech Centres, CzechTourism, CzechInvest and others. The broadcast is done in English, German, French, Spanish, Czech and Russian.

Radio Prague also runs the portal krajane.net, which serves as a news site about compatriots and Czechs abroad (in Czech).
