Support to the Participation of Women in Public Life

In the framework of Transformation Projects Programme of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs aiming at strengthening human rights and democratic principles in partner countries, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tirana is supporting the Project “Empowering of Women’s Participation and Challenge of Their Involvement in Public Life and Media” implemented by Albania Human Rights Group.
The project consist of 6 roundtables organized in small and mid-sized cities in Albania that allow local women openly discuss challenges they face at involvement in public life and media in today’s Albania. At the roundtables, covered by local media, participate women from respective region of Albania who managed to succeed in public life and are ready to share difficulties and challenges they needed to overcome and thus inspire other women to follow their lead.
Until now, 4 roundtables were organized in Skrapar, Kukës, Bajram Curri and Tepelena, two remaining roundtables will be organized in upcoming months in Puka and Pogradec.
