Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Lubomír Zaorálek will conduct a working visit in the Federal Republic of Germany on June 15, 2016. Minister Zaorálek will meet with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the Chairman of the Munich Security Conference ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger.

Their respective discussions will mainly focus on contemporary foreign policy, security and EU topics, especially latest developments in the migration crisis, NATO summit in Warsaw and the upcoming Brexit-referendum.

Both Foreign Ministers will also touch upon the first year of the functioning of the Czech-German Strategic Dialogue launched by both Ministers in Berlin in July last year. Czech Foreign Minister will conclude his working visit in Berlin by giving a speech titled “Germany’s strength and Europe’s weakness: overcoming the paradox” at the Humboldt University.

The upcoming working visit of the Czech Foreign Minister in Germany follows the recent trend of making up solid Czech – German relations focused on friendly neighbourhood in a united Europe.
