The Embassy organized for the Czech companies a visit and briefing at the JAKIM agency in Putrajaya, which is in charge of the halal certification for food products in Malaysia. The Ambassador of the Czech Republic Rudolf Hykl held a networking session with  representatives of SME International Trade Association of Malaysia and  Malaysian distributors. President of the Association Ms. Megan S.C. Soo participated in the event. The delegation also visited the city of Melaka, where the participants met with a government agency CMI supporting the development of the Melaka state. They  discussed possibilities of cooperation in the field of food industry. The Czech participants were briefed by DPO international, a food products distributor, which operates not only in Malaysia, but also in most ASEAN member countries. During the MIFB 2016, the Czech exhibitors had the opportunity to present their products at a Trade Talk. Mr. Vojtech Hromek, Economic Officer of the Embassy, gave a presentation about the Czech food sector. The mission was financed from the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s fund for support of the economic diplomacy PROPED.
