Presentation of the Czech Republic at the SME International Trade Association of Malaysia

Business opportunities in the Czech Republic were presented by the Embassy of the Czech Republic to the members of the SME International Trade Association of Malaysia on the October 26th, 2016 at MATRADE headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. The presentation was a part of the SMITA.biz Talk, which is aimed at informing members on developments in global economy and introducing business opportunities in new markets.
Mr. Vojtěch Hromek, the economic officer of the Embassy, introduced the Czech Republic as a developed, export-oriented economy with a long-standing tradition in engineering, a solid R&D base and a comprehensive system of technical education. Automotive, aerospace, electronical, chemical and pharmaceutical industries were mentioned in a more detail. The audience was also introduced to the system of investment incentives in the Czech Republic, including examples of previous Malaysian investments there.
In the next segment, Czech Ambassador Rudolf Hykl and SMITA National President, Mrs. Megane S.C. Soo opened a forum, during which specific questions about the Czech Republic and its business environment were answered. The audience numbered 25 persons representing, among other, automotive, food, medical and ICT sectors.
SMITA.bizTalk focusing on the Czech Republic was attended by over 25 representatives of small and medium companies from Malaysia.
