Welcome speeches were held by the head of the EU Representative Office in Palestine Sven Kühn von Burgsdorff and the Palestinian Minster of Labour Dr. Nasri Abu Jish. Along with several cultural performances, EU member states represented in Palestine participated in the program of the evening, exhibiting their national stands.

The Czech booth showcased beautiful tourist destinations from all over the Czech Republic through a plenitude of brochures and videos produced by the CzechTourism Authority, as well as a photo booth displaying the panorama of the Vltava river. Czech cuisine was represented in abundance; along from traditional desserts and appetizers, the most requested refreshment offered to visitors at the Czech booth was Pilsner beer, which has been steadily gaining popularity in Palestine.
