Verification of documents

The Embassy of the Czech Republic is authorized to verify copies, translations and signatures.

Signature Verification

The personal appearance of the requesting party is required for signature verification. A valid identification card or passport of the person concerned must be presented as well.

The request for signature verification has no special form. Signature verification is generally dealt with on the same day the verification is requested.

Copy Verification

The request for copy verification has no special form. It is only necessary to present the original document and its copy which you request to be verified.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic is not permitted to verify copies of the following: Identification cards, military identification cards, bank passbooks, cheques, lotto tickets and technical blueprints.

Translation Verification

The request for translation verification has no special form. You can prepare the document translation carefully yourself or have it done by a translation company. It is necessary to present the original document and its translation which is to be verified. The condition of verification is the absolute fidelity of the original with the translation. If you are not sure, ensure the translation to and from the Czech language to a professional translator.

Korean official stamps Verification

The Czech Republic and Korea are signatories to the Convention of the Abolition of the Requirement to Verify Foreign Public Documents agreed in the Haagu on 5 October 1991, public documents are so-called apostilles. So there is no need for them to further verify at the embassy.

 

Consular fees are collected upon application submission by payment card.
