Czech-Mongolian cooperation in the fields of defense and energy

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic continues his introductory courtesy meetings with the ministers of the Mongolian new government.

On November 29, 2017, he met and discussed with Defense Minister Mr. Nyamaagyn Enkhbold about the two countries' cooperation in the field of defense, the next Khaan Quest military exercise, which was also attended by representatives of the Army of the Czech Republic for three times in the past, as well as, cooperation in education field - especially the courses offered by the Czech University of Defense in Brno.

On December 4, 2017, the Ambassador met with Mr. Tserenpilyn Davaasuren, the new Energy Minister, to discuss the Czech investment project of introducing new technologies and innovations into the Mongolian energy system. Furthermore, the commercial continuity of development projects, such as Reconstruction of the Coal Handling Workshop at the Ulaanbaatar Third Power Plant, the new power plant projects under preparation, and, last but not least, the plans of the Mongolian government in the field of hydro-power engineering were discussed. In conclusion, the Minister appreciated the forest development project implemented by the Czech Republic in Mongolia and expressed his hope that the cooperation of the two countries in the forestry sector will continue.
