The Czech Republic and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) signed a donor contribution agreement worth CZK 700 thousands (approximately € 29,424) towards CEB’s Ukraine Solidarity Fund (USF)

The donor contribution agreement was signed on 9th June 2023 by Ambassador Petr Válek, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the Council of Europe, and Mr Carlo Monticelli, CEB Governor.

USF was established in 2022 as a dedicated trust fund to provide assistance to displaced persons from Ukraine and support the reconstruction of the country, which is expected to become a CEB member state in 2023. The Czech Republic is among the first countries to contribute to this new fund.
