The Czech Embassy in Pristina participated in the Francophonie events by screening of the Czech film „The Wolf from Royal Vineyard Street“ by the director Jan Nemec. On 16 March, 2018, ambassador Ivo Šilhavý presented the screening of the film in the French Institute in Pristina. An audience of the students of the Pristina University, the Czech soldiers of the KFOR mission, a representative of the EU Office in Pristina, the cultural attaché of the French Embassy and many others watched the film with great interest.

The movie “The Wolf from Kings Vineyard Street” was made in the Czech-Slovak-French coproduction in 2016. The film was the last work of the director Jan Nemec, who died one day before finishing the filming. Jan Nemec filmed this unhappy comedy, which is based on his own autobiographical story-book published in 2011. The story, told by Karel Roden, follows the director’s life from the Film festival in Cannes in 1968 till the Film festival in Karlovy Vary in summer 2015.  The film had its premiere on the 51st International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary in July 2016, where it was presented in the main competition.
