Embassy of the Czech Republic in Yerevan is the NATO Contact Point Embassy (CPE) in Armenia for years 2021-2022

Embassy of the Czech Republic in Yerevan is the NATO Contact Point Embassy (CPE) in Armenia for years 2021-2022 (from 1 January 2021 until 31 December 2022).

NATO Contact Point Embassy (NATO CPE) aims to support the Alliance’s partnership and public diplomacy activities. It serves to facilitate contact between the NATO Public Diplomacy Division (PDD) and the respective partner country. It plays a key role in the field of public diplomacy.

Overall, the NATO CPEs have the following tasks:

• outreach efforts, providing and disseminating information about the Alliance, its purpose, role and policies

• identification of public diplomacy opportunities, preparation and coordination of events

• logistical and organizational support during visits of NATO’s representatives to the host country

• participation in these activities and events

CPEs serve for public diplomacy purposes; they are not NATO’s diplomatic mission in the host country.

Czech NATO CPE moved to Armenia from Austria, where the Czech Embassy in Vienna performed this function in the previous period.
